first of all, in my opinion, that guy was completely creepy.
secondly, i personally believe that abortion is wrong. putting aside the fact that it is against my religion and i consider it murder, taking those two tings COMPLETELY out of the picture, when you get an abortion you are stripping away a child's privilege and RIGHT to life. so some may say that the baby isnt alive until its born, but in that case it is a potential right to life that is being taken away. some others may say they dont want to being a child into this suffering world. not all of the world is suffering. in fact the places americans consider to be "suffering" are doing so physically but have a much more full and real and healthy vision of life and the important things such as love and relationships and community. they have an appreciation for these things and an even bigger appreciation for the luxuries we might consider necessities, such as the computer you are reading off of right at this moment. anyway, back to my point, just because the world is "suffering" doesnt mean the child will suffer. who knows? maybe the child will someday help fix things that need some improving.
but i think it is completely up to the mother and father (again, back to the child being alive in the womb. we call someone who has a child…a living or once living child… a mother or father. of the child was not alive why would we call them that? plus there is scientific proof that the child is alive at some point near conception as it grows) to decide. but i just hope they consider what they are taking away before they take into consideration what will make them happy. its called selflessness and love people.

i think you all are missing the point, whether or not a fetus is a LIFE is not in discussion. what is being said is that by legalizing abortion with the consequence of being sterilized(no longer able to produce a fetus) upon aborting, people will be more careful with their sex lives and not get pregnant in the first place.
no i dont think this is a good idea. if the person is going in for an abortion, they obviously DONT WANT CHILDREN, or at least at the time. if its in the case where the girl wants children later in life then yes it would be a good idea and a good way to keep her away from the clinic. but for people who dont want children and are just having abortions so they dont have to deal with kids, i believe if they get an abortion and get sterilized they will only end up having MORE sex since it is impossible to have a child. then they wont even have to worry about getting pregnant and will just have sex all the time.
and if it so happens that a woman is raped and get pregnant and is not ready to have children at the time so she gets an abortion, if she is sterilized its completely unfair, since it was not her fault.

Women won't 'show up every other month'. They'd figure a way around out. Not all rape is completely forced. They could be drugged. Tons of shit like that can happen.

do you know how to read? with a medical exam that proves the pregnancy to be ill-conceived by way of rape, meaning there must be a police report. i believe this would encourage women not to be so scared to report a rape. so many try to hide what happened rather than try to catch their assailant thus protecting others from the same fate
yes i did watch the video. and no i didnt jump in for "shits and giggles" as you call it. how is an exam gonna prove a rape? maybe some bruises and attack marks and questioning, but any woman can give herself bruises and cuts and broken bones, and lemme tell you A LOT of women really know how to lie.
if the same lady kept claiming to being raped, she would have to intelligence to go to a different clinic every time.
thats where the sterilization comes in. it serves as the punishment that people like you see as necessary for the "murderers." sterilization is permanent.

you are considering sex without condoms or other forms of contraceptive and thereby running the risk of pregnancy. now you've got to ask yourself 'what if i get pregnant?', oh no big deal i'll just have an abortion because i'm not ready to be a parent; but wait a minute, if i abort a pregnancy now i'll be sterilized, rendered unable to ever produce another life. but i really wanted kids later on down the road. well hold on a minute we better use a condom.
