Honey instead of Sugar

I have always loved putting Honey in my tea.
*note* always have seperate honey containers for your toast and tea
Any 1 else the same as me?

Only in redbush or maybe fruit infusions.

I put honey in chamomile or darjeeling when I've got a sore throat, otherwise, I drink tea unsweetened.

why do you have separate containers

i got hooked on honey when overseas and there was no milk
i did not want to keep using sugar so my father suggested honey…
YUM

I don't usually like sweetened tea, but I always use honey instead of sugar.

It is excellent for a sore throat.

I imagine you'd want separate containers to kep the toast crumbs out of your tea!!

In my experience it is usually the aristocracy who put honey in their tea.

I like to put honey in Chi tea or lapsang. It gives them a deeper flavor.

Decidedly not (except in chai). I just am not a great honey fan – especially warm honey. I don't know why, it's just a taste I cannot acquire.

Also, I am enjoying sugar in tea less and less (I've always been a white with one girl) … who knows where this may lead – I may even give up milk!

That's odd, honey would have been availible here since honey bees are kept in Britain, but sugar… Surely it was imported from the colonies, and would have been more expensive, and desirable.

that may well be true however I know of two dukes who use honey in their tea on a daily basis

Honey is the original sugar. Here's a tip: when you get a splinter pour enough honey on it to cover the area and wait awhile. Honey has oncotic pressure, and the splinter will come out. This only works if you use real bee-honey, not the stuff from the KFC packet…it is actually corn syrup and it does not posess the same properties.
I think it's great for that 3rd cup of the day and you need a little variation.
Plus it's right posh…innit?

Honey goes well with my afternoon blend. Aaah… but I figured that I gained more calories when I put honey into my tea (as compared to when I used sugar). Wonder why?
