Hi all

Last week I resorted to hosting a table for the first time in ages….

I found myself amongst a bunch of people seeking games with flirty 30 something women or people who wanted me to be female and talk dirty with them…

In the past week, I have found some doozy entries… including the guy who requested he be googled before anyone accepts his game (no I did not accept… even after I googled)… and with a rating at the time of 2002 was quite chuffed when I could actually respond to a game request for people over 2000.

I was even more chuffed to see PERKIER on my rack… I was not when this player with a 2117 rating deleted the game after my first move.

I tried again on the weekend and requested 3 games… the first said hello, wished me good luck and then deleted the game before making a move. The other two could not read my ratings request.

Having returned back here I sought some games… and last night requested as many people as possible to start a game… at leisure…

There were 3 replies.

In that time, the shrubbery in my pants thread gained at least double digit responses…

With that in mind, I went back to the join table list again… and found as I was not female, wanting to talk dirty, or French… you get the picture…

So…. this is my LAST EVER post requesting games on here… for future, if anyone wants to play, ADD ME AS A FRIEND ON HERE (if you are not already on there that is… ) and then we can play (my FB notifications will tell me when a game is started)

I will still post on here… but will not seek any more games proactively.

I too enjoy getting beaten 9 times out of 10. Can't play this week though as I'm up the coast and using a friend's pc briefly. Don't want to be rude ….

Hi Nick, I have added you as a friend. I do think it is a real shame though that you will not be pimping youreself out in future. You are one of the best players on here and it is always a joy to play you – even though you thrash me shamelessly :)

Can't play at the mo, I am at work and can't access games.

Lack of games from the discbo might be down to T3 distraction – not for me though. I am out – lost 4 out of 4. At least I am consistent!

Or it could be the ongoing problems of trying to start/access games and getting a blank rack/board.

Keep at it Nick – don't lose the faith and don't deprive the scrabulous community!

Nick, it does feel like you're a little disappointed with us all. It only takes a minute to post a witticism to a thread, with no obligation to continue to post to it, whereas being thrashed by you can take a while. so, you only got three games? Post another request, specifically challenge someone? Come, come Mr Ivanovski, you don't really want to turn into a Scrab hermit do you, playing the same people everyday?

You are leaving me? I came home this morning and was somewhat distraught to see we don't have a current game on the go. I might have to resort to playing Stackford!

It could be any number of things that has caused the lack of games… and I have enjoyed pimping myself out on the discbo… it made a much better place to get games than pimping myself thru the trawl of strange requests that make up Join Table (it was quite surreal tonight… reading the requests)

Sorry to hear about the T3 result… but the EPL results are going well:)

I am not one to normally lose faith – but I am content in the knowledge with some very good friends from here, some wonderful games of Scrabulous will abound!

Hey Nick, you know I always enjoy playing you – even though you are solely responsible for the recent 200 points drop in my rating! You can start a game with me whenever you like – errrr except maybe for the next couple of days cos I'm going to be away :) but towards the end of the week don't hesitate to start one with me and I'll pick it up when I can :)

There are plenty enough Scrab sluts on here to feed your addiction!

4 losses Pauline – bottom of my league table, don't even get a go at the second plate – I obviously can't deal with the pressure, either that or I am just shit!

Join Table is indeed a soul draining experience. Having said that I got a really good scrab friend once, so it's worth a trawl now and then.

Oh, I was really shit in the tourney. I didn't like it. I can roll out all the TWL, time zone excuses but in the end I played really badly and knew I was playing badly. I should have walked away and come back when my head was more scrab focussed but just couldn't do it.

Scrabulous is my evil mistress and I am her dutiful servant, sometimes she is kind to me but she really hates me at the moment. Maybe it's because I have been cheating on her (I have been having a little go at prolofic – there I have said it – the shame)

I think its the pressure you can't handle ….lol

As you keep beating me , do you want to play for money , I reckon that might slow you down!

If you think Prolific is fun…. I don't think I should tell you about Scramble… just don't try Scramble Game…

I would play you for money, but would feel too guilty taking it off you. You couldn't afford it with the amount you lose!

Apart from which, you need to be saving your money for your trip to Wembley (hopefully twice)

Scramble is quality , I got 82 in a round last night.

I am not that good at it, but its a good little game.

I know what you mean about Join Table.. it is not all bad… but it takes some time to trawl through some of the morass to get to the good stuff…

What I had forgotten about on there was the temptation to just have a game deleted on you… and when it was done when I had met their prequalifications that was a bit of a pain…

Me, I will now be happy in starting and finishing great games against players I enjoy playing against…

And that is the best thing about having done this… many thanks to everyone
