With the Christmas holiday season upon us, there are Christmas parties to attend. You want to look your best. However, who has time to spend on applying makeup? Here are some quick and easy tips to help you get out the door and enjoy the parties:

Start off like an artist does, with a clean palet. Wash your face and moisturize. Give your face a few minutes to absorb the moisturizer. You do not want your foundation to grab your make up, as that will cause an uneven effect.

First use a concealer under our eyes and over any imperfections.

You then want to start with the foundation. If you are fair skinned, use a natural foundation. If you have darker colored complexion, your should use a lighter foundation to bring out your cheeks. Do not forget to apply all around your face and neck. This will alleviate the mask appearance. You want to look natural.

Apply eyeliner around the eyes in a fine line to bring out your eyes. Use warmer colors for your eye shadow for night parties and cooler colors during the day. Warmer colors tend to look harsh in daylight. Apply the shadow over the eyelid to slightly toward the edge of the eyebrow and then, with your finger, spread it very lightly up to your eyebrow.

Next, apply your mascara then put a little powder on your finger tip and brush you eyelash lightly against it. Let the mascara dry and then apply another coat. Curl your lashes with an eyelash curler. The powder will help to stop the raccoon look as the night progresses.

Use a warm shade of blush. Suck your checks in and brush along the check bone, then very lightly brush over the nose, forehead and chin. Remember to blend. It is best to use powdered blush. It lasts longer than cream and will not leave any unwanted glow.

Use a shade of lipstick that will compliment your skin tone. If you are fair skinned, use a medium shade of lipstick. If you have darker skin tone, use darker shade.

Finally, lightly power your face with a powder that matches your foundation, this will finish off the effect.
