I was just wondering if anyone knew if Ellen smokes? When she got punked, it looked like there was smoke coming off the table, like from a cigarette. It could be her fiance's or nothing at all, but I was just wondering. I hope she doesn't.

Anyone from the Boston area? It was so funny to hear how thick Ellen's Everett accent is. she hides it so well when playing Meredith.

yeah she and her fiancee… like chimnees… I don't think ellen does tho she did work in a bar for a long time, I don't see what a big deal it is, its not like we see them smoking on the red carpet, or in the show, and the paps aren't exactly targetting them

i'm sure he's well aware it isn't good for the vocal cords… it actually isn't good for muchof anything, but there are alot worse habbits one could be into

i dont think that smoking is good for anything actually, so uhm, what could be worse than doing sumthing that is good for nothing? i dont know. bad things happen to people who smoke.

something that's worse than something that's not good for anything is something that's only hurtful.

i mean, it's really a personal choice. we all have our own bodies, and we can do with it what we like. what ellen and/or katherine do with their own bodies has nothing to do with you, so why care at all?

smoking is a type of drug first of all.
and second, its still really bad for you and nothing good can come of it.

ehn but it doesn't have the same effects as other drugs… as soon as you quit your body starts healing itself, so when you're young it really isn't that bad… as long as you quite while your young, things like coke and meth your brain stops producing certain chemicals that the drug imitates, I think that would be alot worse… and also while it may be that no good may come from it, and not smoking to begin with is the best solution, there are worse things

Ha I think it's safe to say that while Meth is terribly dangerous, smoking isn't exactly like chowing on some calcium tablets. While your body starts to heal ten minutes after quitting, there's always going to be some irreversible damage. If Ellen smokes, it's unfortunate for her future voice/whatever/health, but I don't think she's doing a poor job covering it up as a role model. It'd be an entirely different story if she always had a cigarette hanging out of her mouth, like say, Britney Spears? =) Anyways, I think it's interesting that people were concerned. Ohio just passed a law that there's now no smoking in any establishment but homes.

I think my biggest peeve with this thread is its strating rumors that she doesn't which to my knowledge at this point she does not, she does have a very thick boston accent which she does her best to cover up, and did work as a bartender… But as far as I know Kathrine Heigle is the chain smoker of the group

Does it really matter. I mean there's nothing we can do about it. We can fight and argue and discuss all we want, but i personnaly think it's a waste of time.
