How did future peter transfer current peter
Is this another one of his powers? And if he did transfer current peter's mind into Jesse's body, where's Jesse's mind and the current peter's body? and how did he teleport matt all the way to africa? Future peter has some scary powers…
i have no idea how future peter could put present peter in another person's body. he must have used "Teleportation" or something.
It's probably an evolved form of what Hiro can do, being able to teleport someone else to different locations, even someone's consciousness.
At first I thought it was the ability of Connie from the Novels, the woman who could change people's appearances. But it didn't look like Present-Peter had any of his powers, so I started thinking that it might have to do with the whole Niki/Jessica/Gina/Tracy situation…
ya the thing that really bothers me is what happened to real Jesse? Did future peter just like temporarily get rid of him so present peter could be in his body?… cuz that dosnt seem very fair. we havnt seen a present peter body so unless jesse is in that body i have no idea
i think that perhaps future peter has a type of astral projection type of ability that works with a person body and can transfer the entire body into other objects.
i think thats an evolution of Hiros power ! Everyones powers develop somewhat, and that power is way too strong and strange to be a power on its own, which makes me think its an evolution to the teleporting power.
Sounds like a matt power to me, since it involves the mind and everything about it
Maybe he absorbed future Matts power. Maybe he can do that in the future
Peter seems to have a power to transport himself into another's body and relocate that person's soul/mind into another.
Remember 4 years is a long time, and he could have even more cooler abilities.

i believed it was just a development on matt's power. perhaps matt's power evolved so that it could enable peter to switch minds since it's under mind influence too. so jesse is now loitering somewhere in peter's body or maybe just kept somewhere by future peter. An exaggeration would be practically melding peter's body into that of jesse's with peter's mind being dominant.far-fetched but hey, it's a new power. Lol.
Again, i don't think that there is any link whatsoever between Matt's ability and Future Peter putting Present Peter into Jesse's body. I believe that it is simply a new power. IT was the writer's giving us a taste of the new power's of Future Peter and at the same time lining up an interesting plotline for the present peter. The power seems t be like an astral projection type power with physical properties connected to the consciousness ones. In other words instead of just removing a person's consciousness and placing it in someone else the body of the person goes along with it. a totally new power.
I find it really unlikely that future Peter would put Jesse's mind in present Peter's body. Jesse was one of the 12 super dangerous villains they were keeping locked up, and pretty much no matter what present Peter has stronger and better abilities than Jesse did. Putting a murderous villain in a stronger body than before seems to be a bad way of keeping his brother from getting into mischief.

He obviously has the power to transport people's bodies as he did with Matt. The other power is the ability to transfer people's consciousness into new bodies. He transferred Peter's mind into a new body because if he just transported "present" Peter intact, then "present" Peter could just come back and interfere. So he zapped "present" Peter's mind out of the body, and probably put the body somewhere safe until he was ready to put him back together.

I'm thinking that the ability that Future Peter used on Matt was almost definately an evolved form of Hiro's ability. Remember Hope from Season 1? When she shot at Hiro and Ando, and Hiro made the timestream ONLY AROUND THE BULLET AND GUN go backwards, causing the gun to "backfire". Hiro and Ando both had their eyes closed, so neither of them saw what happened, explaining why Hiro still doesn't know he can do this. If he can play around with time over a selected item/person, who's to say he can't selectively teleport?
Here is another odd theory. Maybe future peter did something to his body and he is now using present peter's body and then put present peter's consciousness into jesse's body, and then used matt's power to keep jesse's consciousness from surfacing. Like what nicole said just drawn out.
Or maybe Future Peter somehow got ahold of Candice's power through Sylar (which we know something like that must have happened – he disguised himself as Present Peter) and made Present Peter look like Jesse, and made Jesse look like Present Peter. Then he swapped the body placement through his selective teleportation.
that is way too much of the stretch.

Yeah, I know, I'm just bored. My theories that I actually put some thought into get their own topics, but I just write stuff here. It's really only got one stretch in it, though, and that's the whole exhibiting more control over Candice's abilities thing.

Triple displacement? I count duple, Present Peter and Jesse. And Future Peter has already exhibited the ability to both change appearances (Candice's ability), and selectively teleport (I'm assuming Hiro's ability).

Troy, Sylar never got Candice's power. I think Kring said that, because Sylar was infected with the virus and none of his powers worked, he wasn't able to acquire her ability. It was lost. However, if truth be told, Peter most likely found another human that had that ability and acquired it from them. The writers have already made it abundantly clear that abilities can, and will, be reused. And four years is a long time, I'm sure that he found someone that had it.
As to how the hell he put present Peter in Jesse…? Hell, I don't know that one. That does sound like a Matt power, though. But now the questions remain: Where's Peter's body, and where's Jesse's consciousness?
For all we know peter could be walking down the street and runs into another person who has the ability to do such powers like transfering minds and all. It's just like when he ran into the invicible man. Peter just absorbs anyones powers that he is around. Hard to imagine that peter can't stop the villians in angela's dream. maybe powers do evolve or they just find different ways of using their power.
Maybe peter is still in his own body…
Future peter could have just changed peter's appearance with candice's power?
Though that does beg the question of where jesse is but hey – who knows!
Maybe I'm just saying based on the name of one of the last episodes this volume "Our Father" it is a new ability, taht of Arthur Paterilli, who may be alive and would explain why Future peter has it
