the absolute WORST episode
what would you say the worst episode(s) of lost were/was?
I'd say Fire Water and Expose.
not expose… that one wasnt bad, it had a good ending to it…
i just thot it didnt have much to contribute to the storyline… but maybe it just hasnt go to that yet.
id have to say Fire and Water definitly…. Whatever the case may be was pretty bad… any flashback of Jin and Sun… all of them are terrible
Jin and Sun episodes aren't bad… i'd say probably either Expose or The Man from Tallahassee. Expose seemed unneccessary… wat's the point of knowing history of Nikki and Paulo if they've only been in like 7 episodes and died?
and The Man from Tallahassee was just boirng, except for locke's flashbacks and the ending.
Expose definately.
Any of the micheal/walt flashbacks were pretty brutal, I always cringe when they come up as I am watching the show on dvd
WALT
fire and water was great. i go for expose
I forget the name of the episode but it was the Rose and Bernard centric episode in season 2 I believe. Was that fire and Water? Expose was a cool episode, I liked Paulikki!
stranger in a strange land. the episode to reveal the huge secret of… jack's tattoo! wtf?
granted, the flashback was a little weird, but I think the main point of that episode wasn't to reveal about jack's tattooes but more about how he is a born leader but doesn't want to be (shown by the meaning of the tattooes and what happening in the present at the time)
One of my favorite lost quotes comes from that episode
"He Walks Amongst Us, but he is not one of us"
thats what the tattooes say, but its not what they mean
thats just my 2 cents
I cant belive you actually picking Expoese… I think its one of the best episodes in lost ever! it may not reveall too much and not really connected to the story line but they did it so cool and amazing
anyway, ill go for Tricia Tanaka is dead
Expose is BRILLIANT! They bring two random cast in (N P), get loadsa stick for it, and then completely blow people away by killing them off straight away! And letting the survivors bury them alive, classically ironic! SOS in series 2 is the worst i think..
Ummm, once again I'll dumb down a discussion thread by saying…
the episode Expose had one really, REALLY strong plus point to it… do I have to spell it out?
(the one about the Jack's tatts is my chice btw)
"the episode Expose had one really, REALLY strong plus point to it"
Billy Dee Williams cameo?
Hardly. I was thinking more…

Tricia Tanaka is Dead (Hurley-centric, S3)
Exposé (Nikki/Paulo-centric, S3)
Fire Water (Charlie-centric, S2)
Whatever the Case May Be (Kate-centric, S1)
here's the thing…. these episodes aren't BAD, per se, when taken in comparison with the rest of the crap on tv. however, compared to some of the amazing lost episodes (e.g. Through The Looking Glass, The Man from Tallahassee, Exodus, Live Together Die Alone, etc. etc.), they don't seem quite as amazing….
Exposé
what was the point of that?
lame! Nikki & Paulo!
i think 'the other 48 days' ,,it was not interesting as i thought it would be,and all anna-lucia's flashbacks were boring!
Expose was only fun to show you what was going on with the main group while they were doing what they were doing . . . other than that I wasn't too impressed. I remember not being very impressed with the first 5 or 6 episodes of season three, it was around the best episode of Juliet's flashback of getting invited to go "just outside of Portland" and I think a couple of episodes later was Claire's flashback to when she was a teenager that I said, "OK, now THIS is the LOST I got hooked to!" I felt like Season 1 was all about the crash which it was supposed to be, Season 2 was cool but a little too focused on the hatch, and those first few episodes of season 3 were too much about Jack, Sawyer, Kate and the Others. I felt like after those pivotal episodes the show brought you back to the crash, the hatch and Desmond, AND the Others.
Anyway, after all of that, which one is Fire & Water? And yeah, not too keen on the Rose & Bernard episode; didn't know the characters well enough to care about them that much. Is Tricia Tanaka is dead the one when Hurley's dad comes back & they find the van on the island? I remember that one didn't do too much for me . . . but like it was said before some of the "worst" LOST episodes are way more awesome than any TV. I once saw someone comment that watching LOST for the first time is like "eating Panera bread when you've been eating Wonderbread your whole life or drinking Starbucks coffee when you've been drinking coffee from Denny's all this time . . . you are both so pleased with your new discovery yet so upset that you have been missing out this whole time!" Ha ha . . . I think that says it perfectly! :-)
exposé :) paulo and nikki ? who were they ? and a little less worst episode to me is :
stanger in a strange land…
fire and water, horrendous
Hang on, expose? i loved that episode!
Afraid of repeating, I'd say EXPOSE again. What's with Paulo and Nikki anyway?
from what i've read, people wanted to see more of the survivors, because theres like twenty-some we know nothing about but then ppl didnt like that Nikki and Paulo got so much screen time that it took away from the other characters, so the writers decided to kill them off. lol. that make sense?
I don't really understand the problem with Expose. Sure, it contributed virtually nothing to the show as a whole, but as a sole episode it was interesting and unique, and yes had a great ending.
I particually DISLIKED, what was it called…"Stranger in a strange land" something like that. The one about Jack and his tatoos and what not. I've never been that bored in a Lost episode.
expose, in my opinion, actually really helped tell the audience what these redshirts were doing in the meantime….it also gives the impression that if the a-team actually paid attention to what these other people were doing, maybe things would've gotten done wuicker (discovery of the waterfall and the pearl, etc.)
i also really enjoyed how the timeline worked out. according to the timeline, paulo's interaction with ben and juliet in the pearl was the same day michael was contacted by "walt" via the swan computer…which leads me to believe that it probably wasnt walt ;)
personally i think all of the episodes are amazing and it's just so great how all of the flashbacks correlate with the island plots, but i thought catch-22 was probably a bit too long for my taste and they could have condensed that storyline and brought in another subplot from the beach :/
I actually really liked Expose, despite disliking Nikki and Paulo (maybe that's why? :P) It was a nice break and it was so evil! XD Muhahaaa…
I have to agree with the 'Stranger in a strange land.' episode because it was just so RANDOM, it was during that episode I began to think 'Yeah…They've milked Jack's past for all it's worth now.' I understand about the whole leader thing, but seriously, tattoos? :P
THE OTHER 48 DAY WAS ONE OF THE BEST EPISODES YET it was almost like a new pilot episode, it showed us that the other people who have survived have not had a cushy life like the people in the mid section of the plane. These people were living in hell pretty much while hurley is making a golf course because people are bored. Lost would have been such a cool show if they had made THESE people the main focus of the show, i would have watched it. i think they should have made another show just for these people! hahaha it shows why the tailees are sooo freaked out by the island. Goodwin being an OTHER? WHAT? him killing nathan WHAT? it was great
