mine was either alex or Charlie, but more Alex cuz season 3 was all about how charlie was going to die so Alex's death was more of a surprise, but i liked charlie better

yeah CHARLIE and Alex…but Boone in season one…but mainly b/c he was really hott but i'm over that now lol…RIP Charlie Pace

Without a doubt Charlie. He was one of my favorite charecters and his death probably was the most dramatic and emphasised in the series. If Desmond Jin Bernard, Michael or Sawyer eventually get killed that will also be in my top and of course the dog

Charlie was definitely the saddest for me becuz I knew he was going to die before I watched it (I jumped into the show late)…Greatest Hits almost made me choke up…the end when it shows him first talking to claire is so sad

Definately Alex. I had time to get used to the idea that Charlie was gonna die, and he died with honor so I was happy for him. Alex, meanwhile, had to endure hearing her father's harsh words (obviously he said them in an effort to change Keamy's mind, but still) in her last 10 seconds of life. She had already lost her birth mother after just meeting her, and her lifelong friend and boyfriend Karl. I cried for about 15 minutes and was still shocked about how cold and shocking and utterly tragic her death was.

Alex. I didn't feel sad for her, I felt sad for Ben. Can you imagine how guilt-ridden you would be if those terrible words were the last thing your daughter ever heard? Poor Ben, he always has such control, but the one time he really needed it, there was nothing he could do. I'm glad Smokey didn't kill Keamy last episode. Maybe if he just removes one limb a week…

Oh yeah, I totally felt for Ben too! The look on his face .. Man, Michael Emerson is a great actor. He just looked so utterly lost (ha!) and shocked. Ben has NEVER had things go his way .. or at least, not so drastically as this. This came as a complete shock to him .. and he lost (ha!) his adoptive daughter of 16 years. Poor thing. I REALLY hope Smokey does major EXTREMELY painful damage to Keamy .. Ugh. I hate him so much. And I don't want to know what he did in Uganda because I might just fly over to Hawaii and kick Kevin Durand's ass, bewildered by my anger to kill Keamy himself.

Alex's death was a shock to me. i couldnt beieve it happened. i felt like it was me dying b/c i felt like i could relate to alex as a character. but i know that if my dad was in ben's situation he would have done anything to save me. there have been a lot of bad fathers on lost, but i think this made ben the worst, especially with what he said before alex died.

Alex… hands down. Even though she wasn't a main character you never saw it coming. I even had a very slight hint in a rumor that she might die but I didn't believe it for a minute. I mean killing the closest to an overall good person on the show plus being a 16 year old kid. Very good and dramatic too.

Saying those things was Ben's best chance for saving his daughter. What did you expect him to do, take a run at Keamy? Bang. Hand himself over? Then everyone dies. Ben loved his daughter just as much as your dad loves you, but Ben is smart. He knew that the only thing he could possibly do to make Keamy release her was to make him think she wasn't worth killing.

I really was sad when Eko went since I thought he was one of the deepest characters and one of my personal favorites. Charlie was equally sad but I think I had accepted his death just like the character from all the flashes Desmond was having, etc.

Ben never knew Widmore changed 'the rules'. So what he said was of course tragic, but doubt he intended those to be the last she heard. he did care and love Alex, he is now on a war path because of it.

He is not the worst dad on Lost, Anthony Cooper is the most evil dad ever…. he stole Locke's kidney and pushes him out of a window! Ben has never sunk to that level………………

Alex dying was so so so sad, esp seeing Ben visibly upset and crying:-(

He was one of the best characters and died absolutely for no purpose…

I agree Eko as well:-( Was not expecting him to die so soon!

I think for me it was Eko because of the dialogue which rang so true for his character.
" I ask for no forgiveness father for I have not sinned, I have only done what I needed to do to survive. A small boy once asked me if I was a bad man, if I could answer him now I would tell him, that when I was a young boy I killed a man to save my brothers life. I am not sorry for this, I am proud of this. I did not ask for the life that I was given but it was given none the less, and with it I did my best."

why is it when in another thread I expressed that Alex dying was sad you pretty much attacked me and told me to lighten up?

Definitely Alex and Charlie. I love Alex and it was totally wrong how she Ben and Ben didn't save her. Charlie was one of my faves, but he die with honor. Alex and Charlie will be missed.

Why do people keep saying that Ben didn't try to save her? What would you have done? If you turned yourself in, you literally lose your last bargaining chip and there is *nothing* left to stop Keamy from killing her.

Those words sounded terrible, but they were the only chance Alex had for rescue. Ben *did* try to save her, but Keamy called his bluff.

i agree with you clark. Charlie was sad, yet so honorable so I felt he got honor at least. Alex had a painful end of life, and was a noble person. So sad.

Mr. Eko was one of my favorite characters. I loved his story, I loved to imitate his voice. I still imitate his voice even though he is dead. Even though he was a fav of mine and I was very angry when they killed him off, for I felt he had so much potential and was great, objectively it was not as sad as Alex.

Then again maybe i'm overcorrecting for my bias. Eko was pretty cool.

Yeah I agree, I felt sad for Ben too. I always thought it was possible he was a good guy.

Although I'm still in denial that he's actually dead, when I saw that gravestone I honestly started to cry.

Charlie is a very close second.
